Age: 2 and a half years – 5 years
Hours: 8.15/ 8.30 am – 12.15 pm Monday – Friday Morning School (Drop off any time between 8.15 – 9.00)
12.30 – 3.00 pm Monday – Thursday Afternoon School
Older children may stay all day.
Fees:
We have joined the Nursery Education Funding Scheme whereby children in their final year of Nursery School – i.e. for children who become 4 years old between 1st September and 31st August in the year before they are due to start Primary School, may access the NEF up to the maximum of 30 hours a week, subject to availability. A small charge of £12.50 per week will be made to cover extras. This is the same as is charged in the State Sector. In addition to this there will be a registration fee of £100.
Afternoon School per term session £345 – from September 2023
(i.e. 2 afternoons a week for the term = £690 etc.)
Morning School per term for 5 mornings £1700 – from September 2023 (this is for children in the year before they access the NEF ) – .
(Children attending Morning School are expected to attend 5 Mornings a week. Younger children attend part time in the Afternoon School. Children move from the Afternoon School to the Morning School at the start of the academic year which is in September. All children attending Afternoon School are guaranteed a Morning School NEF funded place in their second year.
Fees are due on before or on the first day of term.
Children are only accepted at The Acorn if they are to complete their Nursery years with us, moving on to their chosen school at 4+ years. We do not believe it is in the best interests of your child to move them during this very formative time.
No reduction can be made for children absent during term time. Notice to withdraw a child from the school must be made one term in advance.
